After seven months Covid-19 dominated Indonesia, our daily live has been very much affected in the most unimaginable way. We have to adapt and adopt the new normal.

Like any other schools, learning has been challenging especially for trainings that require face to face meetings/ Strict local government rules to control the spread of the virus has made us, like any other educators to reset our student learning and teaching methods.

Programs that we miss most has been having gelato learner enthusiasts to have the opportunity to come on campus. Bali Culinary Pastry School offers Carigiani University basic gelato class on campus. As one of the world’s Carpigiani University campus, Bali Culinary Pastry School run three day basic and 2 day pre intermediate gelato classes. Gelato short program takes in 12-15 participants runs supposedly five times a year. Since the pandemic, the Gelato classes have been postponed and will return in 2021.

We will soon run our 15 days Intensive Pastry Bakery program in December 2020. The class cover Basic, Pre-Intermediate to Intermediate level, building skills and knowledge with full hand on experience class on Pastry Bakery. The Intensive Pastry Bakery Program will run 7th to 23rd December 2020 by implementing in-class social distancing procedure at all times and body temperature check prior to class each day. Students will also require wearing mask and safety glasses during the class in order to maximize health and safety precaution measures.

Since the government has extended a permission to reopen the school in July with new health protocol in place. Bali Culinary Pastry School students have returned to campus with strict in and out campus policy. The students have been focusing on practical classes and able to continue to project preparation practice of set menu execution. Let’s all hope and pray that this situation will be over soon and we come back to a more comfortable situation.
